A message from Mukh Sewadar Bhai Narindar Singh Ji
By the blessings of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Prabhu Sewa Simran Kendar, Chotti Jawaddi, Ludhiana,  is engaged in a humble effort to promote the mission of  Guru Nanak Dev Ji, that is, Sewa (selfless service of humanity) and Simran (contemplation of the Sovran Lord). Guru Sahib has been very gracious in this regard.
Sewa:-
One of the sewas is Agan Bhet Sewa (consigning to flames with due reverence) of Birdh Saroops (old and frayed editions of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and other religious booklets). This Sewa is performed by Sangat in the presence of the Five Beloved Sikhs (Panj Pyaras). During this Sewa, the Sangat renders Kirtan (singing of Gurbani). For more info, please see the  Agan Bhet Sewa video. There is no doubt that all these are read and kept with utmost respect and care. However after daily and continuous reading of Gurbani in Gurdwara Sahibs and homes, these get frayed and old. After receiving, these scriptures are thoroughly checked a number of times and those which are found thoroughly worn out are respectfully consigned to flames. Those which are found in good condition, undergo rebinding and replacement of worn out pages. So far, more than 10,000 Saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Ji have been given to Sangat, free of cost, after necessary replacement and rebinding.
HAND WRITTEN SAROOPS (Hasth Likhit Saroops)
which are few hundred years old are never consigned to flames, but are personally offered to the Sikh Reference Library of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (Amritsar), so that these editions form a part of our precious culture to be preserved and maintained for future generations and scholars who can study them gainfully. For information this Reference Library was set on fire by the Indian Army during the Operation Blue Star (1984). Our efforts shall help to revive our heritage and culture. We have so far sent more than 293 Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, 74 of Dasam Granth and numerous other religious pothies.
Simran
It is the most important aspect which has a far reaching effect on a devotee’s spiritual life. As Satguru ji says
Remembrance of the Sovran Lord is the highest prayer||
Guru Nanak Dev Ji started the praxis* (way) of Shabad-Surat Simran, followed by the other Guru Sahibs…
Guru Nanak Dev Ji had realized Immaculate Naam of the Sovran Lord. He was lovingly attuned to loving devotion of the Lord||

After Guru Nanak Dev Ji merged with the Eternal Refulgence, Guru Angad Dev Ji bestowed the blessing of the praxis of the Shabad-Surat on his devotees.

Today the spirit of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is present in the form of Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Shabad-Guru), and to receive Naam, a person needs to undergo baptism ceremony through Five Beloved Sikhs (Panj Pyaras), introduced by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. After Naam is received a Sikh shall sit in Sangat and has to practice continuously to obtain spiritual gain through the grace of Satguru and subsequently realize the Sovran Lord.

As per Gurmat, Shabad-Surat Simran is the ONLY way by which a mortal being can unify with the Wondrous Lord (WAHEGURU) and end the endless cycle of births and deaths…..

How can a person who does not believe in God and is entangled in worldliness, obtain salvation without practicing Shabad-Surat. He can never be freed from the endless cycle of births and deaths.
God is omnipresent but to feel his existence, we need to align our consciousness (Surat) with the Guru-Word (Gurbani). Shabad Surat forms the basis of loving-devotion for the Almighty which is the only way to meet Sovran Lord.

Listen everyone, I speak the truth, those who love the God shall ultimately realize Him||29||

The only purpose of human life is to realize, our Father, the Sovran Lord.
Bahee paraapath maanukh dhaehureeaa||

You have received this human body through His Grace ||
This is your sole opportunity to realize your Sovran Lord||

Shabad-Surat is the only way by which a devotee of Sovran Lord looks within and his consciousness travels from the Dharam Khand to the Sach Khand.
The last spiritual stage of oneness with the Waheguru is achieved only by Shabad-Surat.
The extraordinary bliss and happiness that the mind experiences cannot be described in any way. It is beyond words.
Surat-Shabad is the easiest, the best and the simplest way of removing stress. When we attentively listen to the intoning of Waheguru, we gain positive energy from Waheguru, it removes all our stresses and worries.

Nanak, his votaries ever bliss relish|| By listening their sins and sorrows perish||

Thus with the grace of Guru, Shabad-Surat-Simran Samagams are being held all over India and even abroad.
If you want poise and tranquility in this life and hereafter, I humbly request you to take up this Path of Shabad-Surat-Simran in your daily life. You shall be blessed by the grace of the Guru.
